Privacy Policy

Dudley Home Assistant is a private smart-home integration for a single household. It connects authorized Google Nest devices to a household-controlled Home Assistant installation. It is not offered to the public and does not accept outside users.
Information accessed
The integration may access information authorized through Google Nest, including:
- device identity and status;
- thermostat temperatures, settings, modes, and controls; and
- doorbell event notifications.
This installation is configured for thermostat control and event notifications. It is not intended to collect or publish video.
How information is used
Information is used only to provide household automation, monitoring, notifications, and device control requested by the household. It is not sold, rented, used for advertising, or used to profile people for unrelated purposes.
Storage and sharing
Device information is processed by Google Nest and the household’s Home Assistant system. Home Assistant may retain device history, event history, and diagnostic logs according to its local settings. Information is not shared with third parties except as needed to operate Google Nest, Home Assistant, and their supporting services, or when required by law.
Security and retention
Access is limited to authorized household users. Information is retained only as configured in the household’s Home Assistant system and the connected providers. Reasonable measures are used to protect the integration, but no connected system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Your choices
Authorized users can revoke the integration’s Google Account access through Google Account security settings and can remove the integration from Home Assistant. Revoking access stops future Nest data retrieval by this integration.
